This toothpick has lenses: Bangladesh customs toothpick case

Cartoon in SNECK style: inside an open shipping container lit by one hanging lamp, a stout grey badger customs inspector with big white googly eyes, a navy cap and a yellow sash squints through a magnifying glass at a pair of black sunglasses in his paw, a clipboard under his arm. At his feet sits one tiny wooden crate labeled TOOTHPICKS. Behind him the container is stacked to the ceiling with white cream jars, tubes and racks of sunglasses. The left container door is stenciled exeindex.com. On the right door hangs a small framed meadow painting with a plaque reading MEADOW, REVISITED. A googly-eyed raccoon cleaner in a teal coverall peeks around the door beside a yellow mop bucket with a sticker and a tiny pink cocktail umbrella. Caption: THIS TOOTHPICK HAS LENSES.

Satire / Cartoon. A Bangladesh importer declared 22.5 tonnes of toothpicks from China; Chattogram customs found 1,620 kg of toothpicks, and the rest reportedly included face creams, sun creams, anti-ageing gels, hair-removal sprays and premium sunglasses, including creams prohibited by BSTI, per the NBR press release of Sat Oct 17, 2026, as reported by BSS, The Business Standard and The Financial Express. NBR's Central Intelligence Cell with Chattogram Custom House's AIR team uncovered eight misdeclaration cases (about Tk7.03 crore total in that release; a later The Business Standard report says about Tk7.5 crore). Estimated evasion Tk2.8 crore. Legal action is being finalised under Sections 33 and 171 of the Customs Act, 2023. No one was hurt. Some toothpicks just want to look good.
