Indian Space Research Organisation photo from its Oct. 16, 2026 release on Crew Module–Service Module separation tests for the Gaganyaan programme. ISRO says it completed a series of CM-SM separation tests at the Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre, Thiruvananthapuram, validating the separation system ahead of the first uncrewed Gaganyaan mission (G1), which it says is targeted for launch in 2026. The photo shows the test setup after separation; markings on the stand read 01-10-2026.
