Chile's PDI shows cocaine seized in Operation Killer, a plot aimed at Australia

Chile's Investigations Police (PDI) posted photos on Oct. 15, 2026 of a briefing on Operation Killer, carried out by its Valparaíso anti-narcotics brigade, with packages displayed as evidence. In a joint release the next day, the Australian Federal Police said PDI seized 23 kg of cocaine, worth an estimated A$17 million in Australia, that a network planned to send to Australia on a commercial aircraft, and that the AFP ran a controlled delivery with an inert substitute at a Port Botany car park on Oct. 13. Police said four people were arrested: two men aged 33 in Sydney, and a Bolivian national and an Argentinian national in Chile; the charges are allegations.
