ARCHIVE photo from May 20, 2014, released by the U.S. Army National Guard via DVIDS and captioned as taken during a senior-leadership visit to the Canadian Maneuver Training Center in Wainwright, Alberta, during Exercise Maple Resolve 2014; it shows rows of tents in a field camp. The Guard said about 5,000 Canadian, British and U.S. troops took part in Maple Resolve, the Canadian armed forces' largest annual exercise, from May 5 to June 1, 2014. It is added as context for the Oct. 17, 2026 fire at CFB Wainwright, which the Canadian Armed Forces says resulted in fatalities and injuries.
