Video released Jan. 22, 2024 by U.S. Central Command. CENTCOM says that at about 11:59 p.m. Sanaa time on Jan. 22, its forces and UK Armed Forces, with support from Australia, Bahrain, Canada and the Netherlands, struck eight Houthi targets in Yemen, including missile systems and launchers, air defence systems, radars and buried weapons storage, to degrade Houthi attacks on shipping in the Red Sea, Bab al-Mandab and Gulf of Aden. The 23-second night video shows U.S. Navy F/A-18 fighter jets launching from an aircraft carrier deck. Archive item tied to the Saudi-led coalition's Oct. 20, 2026 claimed strike on the launcher of a Houthi missile fired at Riyadh.
