Photos posted Oct. 20, 2026 by Australia's Department of Defence, from an Oct. 14 Army News story by Capt. Chloe Ellwood. Defence says Australian Army UH-60M Black Hawks of the 16th Aviation Brigade completed their first international deployment in Papua New Guinea in September on Exercise Helicon Luk, testing aircraft, crews and sustainment in the Central Highlands. The photos show a Black Hawk parked on a grassy ridge among mountain peaks, one on a highland airstrip, and a crew member standing near a crowd of local residents.
