Video posted Oct. 20, 2026 by Colombia's Ministry of Defence. The ministry says an Army operation with the Navy, coordinated with the National Police, disabled 14 mining production units in Quibdó, Chocó, destroying eight artisanal dredges and six engines worth 110 million pesos that it says extracted 12,000 grams of gold a month, and that the Clan del Golfo's 'Jhon Fredy Orejuela' substructure loses more than 4,870 million pesos a month. The 48-second video shows aerial views of mining pits in the jungle and a burning dredge; the link to the group is the ministry's allegation.
