Photo published Oct. 18, 2026 by the National Police of Ukraine. Police say Russian forces attacked civilian infrastructure in a densely populated district of Odesa during the day on Oct. 18, damaging the roof of a residential high-rise and several flats and starting a fire; a child was injured. The State Emergency Service says the roof, a rooftop boiler room and 19th-floor flats were damaged and more than 50 rescuers put out the fire. The photo shows white smoke rising from the damaged roof of the high-rise, with emergency workers on the roof edge. No injured people are visible.
