ARCHIVE photo from Oct. 8, 2018. The U.S. Air Force caption says a Ukrainian Sukhoi Su-27 Flanker flies over the flightline during the opening ceremony of exercise Clear Sky 18 at Starokostiantyniv Air Base, Ukraine. Other photos in the U.S. set describe Clear Sky 18 as the first large-scale, air-centric multinational exercise U.S. Air Forces in Europe - Air Forces Africa sponsored in eastern Europe since 2014; it is added here alongside the Ukrainian Air Force's Oct. 15, 2026 cockpit video.
