U.S. Navy photo posted to DVIDS on Oct. 16, 2026 (UTC). The Navy's caption says surface warfare officers aboard the guided-missile destroyer USS McFaul (DDG 74) worked to bring the ship alongside the dry cargo and ammunition ship USNS Oscar V. Peterson (T-AKE 9) for a replenishment at sea near the Horn of Africa on Sept. 23, 2026. The caption says McFaul deployed to the U.S. 6th Fleet area of operations to support U.S. Naval Forces Europe-Africa; U.S. Africa Command later announced the ship had completed a circumnavigation of Africa.
