As stated
KCNA, via Yonhap, said two types of strategic cruise missiles were test-fired in the East Sea on 14 October 2026, with no adverse impact on neighboring countries. Yonhap's later report quoted the ROK Joint Chiefs, who on 15 October said they tracked the flight from before it began through to the end. That report quoted an assessment that this may be the first firing from the 3,000-ton-class Hero Kim Kun Ok.
