Cruise missiles reported in the East Sea, Oct 14

KCNA, via Yonhap, said two types of strategic cruise missiles were test-fired in the East Sea on Oct 14, and that the launch did not have any adverse impact on the security of neighboring countries. The ROK Joint Chiefs of Staff, through Capt. Jang Do-young on Oct 15, said they tracked the flight from before it began through the cruise phase to the end. Yonhap quoted experts who assessed it may be the first launch from the 3,000-ton-class Hero Kim Kun Ok; that is an assessment. No launch point was published. Reported as stated.
